I am a San Francisco Bay Area transplant who, since 1980, has called Los Angeles home. Introduced to the Mac in 1987 as a design and publishing tool, my love affair with pixels continues to evolve, like a good marriage. With the exception of earlier paintings almost all works to date have some digital influence. Using aspects of a commercial arts background, stories are packaged about people or events into a succinct visual statement. Visual statements that exploit and sometimes abuse vibrant color, incorporate cartoonish iconography, and the ever wonderful pun. Under the Influence of: Being raised a latch key kid; the musings of Stephen King, Hunter S. Thompson, and Mad Magazine; classic Sci-fi and B movies; 1960s pop art; comic books and Japanese animation; pop and consumer culture; television commercials and consumer product marketing; and Eastern Philosophy.

Favorite Music	Hmmm. Again too many genres to choose from. Jazz (straight ahead daddy-o), Electronic stuff, world music, punk, experiemental, classical, reggae, old school ska (think Desmond Dekker), folk, devotional.
Favorite Books	The little prince, The Gateless Gate, The Tao, anything by Alan Watts or Krishnamurti, The Secret, The Isaiah Effect, Freakonomics, Good to Great, Primal Branding, Nausica in the Valley of the Wind, Jonathan Livingston Seagull....
Favorite TV Shows	Ugh. Mostly cooking shows on PBS. Anything with Bill Moyers. I've a few guilty indulgences but I'm not listing them here. Ha ha.

Heroes	Everyday people doing everyday things.
Villains	The US government: all of them, repubs and dems alike. Anyone who would commit to an act of violence in the name of god. Warmongers who profit off of killing, genocide. Organized religion. Global Corporatism. People who believe what they see on the evening news.
Politics	I thought we covered that with Villians.
Religion	I find great comfort in the applied philosophy of Buddhism. However I do not, will not, ever subscribe to the rigidity of dogma or organized religion. The question of god remains an open question for me. In this human form the mere concept is too big for me to wrap my head around. That being said, if there is "god" then I will hope for an all knowing all loving kind over a vengeful demigod.

Baby heads photography project. Again details are top secret. But needless to say this would be a travelling project taking baby heads to various locations and photographing them. Sounds creepy, doesn't it? It is.
